Thinking, all super efficient and luxurious cars come with an automatic gearbox option will be a wrong statement. You will be surprised to know that several posh cars offer manual gearbox option for their buyers. Although, the number of such manual cars is limited, you must know some of the top brands that offer such cars
Top Luxurious Cars with Manual Gearbox Option
Surprisingly, top brands like Ferrari and BMW designed a few cars with a manual gearbox option. Although, the sale was limited to only a few numbers of people, these cars were not much popular. Let’s have a look!
1. Aston Martin DB9
It is certainly surprising that a luxurious car with meticulous mechanical and aesthetic standards offers manual gearbox option. However, there was a time when Aston Martin DB9 model had a manual gearbox option. Soon the automakers realized to change this option with an automatic gearbox option in order to increase the sale.
2. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
Yes, it possible to enjoy the GTB Fiorano with a gearbox option but finding this specification is extremely tough. The brand built only 30 semi-automatic GTB cars around the world of which 20 went to the US and the remaining to Europe.
3. BMW F10 M5
Despite switching to a 7-speed gearbox with the F10 generation, the M5 continued to offer a 6-speed manual. To enjoy this option, you need to live in North America. But due to a decrease in the sale, year by year, the 4.4 liter VA power F10 was the last model offering the manual gearbox option.
4. BMW E60 M5
Like most country in the world, you do not get any transmission option; either you have the 5-liter M5 to a 7-speed SMG gearbox or pick another car. However, these rules do not work for countries like the USA and Canada. This brand gave the option of a manual gearbox, which was not much popular among the folks, concluding that there is almost no craze for manual cars.
5. Ferrari California
The manual 599 GTB is a rare piece but had nothing as the scarcity of the first generation California manual population. It built only 2 models with the manual option of which one went to the UK and the other to New Zealand.
6. Jaguar F-Type
The F-Type is another luxurious cool comfort and appealing car. Astonishingly, the car announced its manual gearbox option a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the idea of a manual option, which most folks cherish, turned out to be a frustrating deal.
7. Porsche Panamera
As expected, the manual gearbox option was simply wrong. A few buyers of Panamera realized that giving the manual option was simply a bad idea. And, this is why Porsche did not sell much except in the UK.
8. Porsche Cayenne
Even the Porsche Cayenne was not able to become a popular car with the manual option. It is quite tough to imagine why Porsche designed another car with a manual option. Unfortunately, the car managed to sell only 6 out of 900 cars in the UK.
Manual cars are not doing well when comes to the big brands, however, low-budget brands and buyers certainly love this option.
